Okay…so one more Bike! Giant TCR C2

In my hunt for a reputable bike shop that carried Giant, I came across Hudson Trail Outfitter in Tenleytown.  It in on my way to World Market up Wisconsin Ave and happily carries the Giant line which oddly enough seems to be falling out of favor with several local shops :(

I am a sucker for sales and they had a Giant TCR C2.  This bike is about 17 pounds, has road handlebars, racing specs, and a carbon frame.  While the C1 probably has the top of the line Shimano components, the C2 has Ultegra shifters, 105 brakes, chain, and rear gear hub, and Race Face Crank.…

Movie Review: Indiana Jones (Spoilers)

As I mentioned in my last post, tickets to see Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull were given to me for my birthday. I saw it in the amazing Uptown Theatre in Cleveland Park (Washington, D.C.).

Let me start by saying my favorite Indiana Jones movie is Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. I have been watching obsolete HD-DVDs recently, when I turned on the dvd changer to watch Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, it was already in the playing position which reinforces my favorite movie status :)

Happy Belated Birthday to ME! 30 Ouch

So I turned 30 back on May 15.  Was not as scary as I thought.  I expected to lose all my hair and memory, but alas the rate at both memory loss and hair loss seems to be the same ;P

My partner Patrick took me out to the movies this past weekend as it was my wish to see Indiana Jones at the Uptown in Cleveland Park (DC).  What a great theatre!  I can see why there are lines out the door to get in.  It puts my 80″ screen at home to shame.  It must have been 60 feet wide and 25 feet tall!

More on the movie review later…..but let me start by saying I really like the Indiana Jones movies, the music probably the most, and was a little disappointed by the most recent one.  A little too much on the special effects and unbelievable stunts.  The other 3 seemed to be quite believable.…
